Old 4 carb Japanese bikes run like hell and are basically bulletproof, but occasionally you need to clean out the carbs, balance, and adjust them.
It's not too complicated as long as you have the right setup. I'll run through a demo of how to do this on my own 1978 KZ650B. It's been about 3 years since I've balanced the carbs on it and I just want to make sure everything is still in fine rat-bike form.
Bring some beer, we'll have the stereo on and we'll be a-wrenchin'
Any and all welcome, no need for any mechanical experience.
I've kept the bike running for about 5 years, so that should say something. I align myself with the 'ziptie-hoseclamp' type of mechanics... anything to keep it on the road.
